01 — Overview

What is Gravity Merge?

Gravity Merge is a free browser puzzle in which your orb circles an outer ring, a click drops it toward a central core, and matching orbs fuse into bigger worlds, all the way from a pebble up to a supernova.

Gravity Merge opens on a starfield with a thin glowing ring in the middle of a landscape 800×600 frame. A how-to card sits over it and explains the whole game in four lines: “Move your cursor — your orb rides the outer ring.” “Click or tap to drop it — gravity pulls everything to the core.” “Merge matching orbs to forge bigger worlds — pebble to supernova.” “Don't overflow the ring — an orb left outside ends the run!”

Below the card are two buttons. DAILY CHALLENGE carries the line “Heavy Sky: Gravity +25%”, and POWER START offers a head start in exchange for an advert: “Watch an ad — begin with 2 Shockwaves + 1 Star Shot”. The card closes with a plain invitation to click anywhere and drop your first orb.

Gravity Merge is one of the newest games on the site — it joined the GamePix catalogue on 28 July 2026 — and it is the only merge game here that wraps the usual box into a circle. In our session the score climbed from 25 to 250 and then 365 within a few minutes, and a COMBO x2 banner flashed over the ring when two merges landed back to back.

02 — How to play

How to play Gravity Merge

  1. 01

    Read the four-line card

The card on the first screen of Gravity Merge is the whole rulebook. Click anywhere to dismiss it and drop your first orb.

  2. 02

    Steer around the ring

Move the cursor in Gravity Merge. The orb you are holding travels along the outer ring to follow it, so you choose the angle it will fall from.

  3. 03

    Drop toward the core

Click to release. Gravity pulls the orb inward until it comes to rest against the cluster already gathered at the centre.

  4. 04

    Merge matching orbs

When two orbs of the same size touch, they fuse into the next size up. The ladder along the bottom of the screen shows the order.

  5. 05

    Check the NEXT preview

The NEXT orb in the top-right corner of Gravity Merge is the one after the orb in your hand. Plan two drops at a time.

  6. 06

    Keep the ring clear

An orb left outside the ring ends the run. Keep the cluster compact so every new orb has somewhere to land.

Controls

Gravity Merge uses the pointer and nothing else. Moving the mouse carries your orb around the outer ring, and a left click drops it; the game's own card says “click or tap”, so the same two actions are meant to work on a touch screen. Pause and sound buttons sit in the top-right corner, and two power icons wait in the bottom-left. We tried it with a mouse in a desktop browser, where the orb tracked the cursor smoothly and each click released it at once.

Objective

Build the biggest worlds you can without overflowing the ring. Every merge adds to the score, and the ladder rises from pebble to supernova, so the aim is to keep pairs meeting and keep the cluster small. A run lasts as long as every orb fits inside the ring, and the first one left outside ends it. Your BEST score in Gravity Merge is kept on screen beneath the current one, ready for the next attempt.

Game modes & features

Three ways in are offered on the first screen. A standard run starts when you click anywhere. DAILY CHALLENGE applies a modifier, which on the day we played was “Heavy Sky: Gravity +25%”. POWER START is the ad-supported option that begins a run with two Shockwaves and a Star Shot. In play you get a NEXT preview, a ladder of about a dozen orb sizes along the bottom, combo banners such as COMBO x2, and two power icons that we did not get to use.

Why play Gravity Merge?

Play Gravity Merge for the geometry. Most drop-and-merge games give you a box and a floor; this one gives you a ring and a centre, so each drop arrives from a different direction and the cluster grows outward like a small planet. It is easy to read, it rewards planning two orbs ahead, and the daily modifier means the same rules can feel different from one day to the next.

03 — Tips & strategy

Gravity Merge tips

Beginner

Drop from one side at first

Early on, release orbs from roughly the same point on the ring. Orbs of one size then land close together, which makes the first merges easy.

Use NEXT on every turn

Glance at the NEXT orb before you click. If it matches something on one side of the cluster, park the current orb on the other side.

Let gravity do the aiming

In Gravity Merge there is no need to chase the core. Choose the side the orb should land on and let the pull bring it the rest of the way.

Treat the ring as the danger line

The run ends when an orb is left outside the ring. Watch the outer edge of the cluster, not just the middle.

Advanced

Set up back-to-back merges

Two merges in quick succession earned a COMBO x2 banner in our run. Place matching pairs so that one fusion pushes straight into the next.

Keep big orbs near the centre

In Gravity Merge, large orbs take up the most room close to the ring. Guide them inward early, while there is still space for them to settle.

Read the ladder before a merge

The row along the bottom shows what every pair becomes. Know the next size so you can leave room for it before it appears.

Hold tools for a crowded ring

POWER START gives you two Shockwaves and a Star Shot. We did not use them, but keeping a limited tool for a nearly full ring is the safer habit.

04 — Highlights

What makes Gravity Merge special

The best idea in Gravity Merge is the ring. Dropping from any angle around a circle turns the old question of where to drop into a question of which side to build on, and the cluster at the core grows in every direction instead of piling up from a floor.

Gravity Merge is also unusually clear about its own rules. The four-line card covers movement, dropping, merging and the losing condition in plain words, and the ladder of orb sizes along the bottom means you never have to guess what a merge will produce.

If you like the loop but want it in a box, Fruit Merger on this site drops fruit into a container under the same matching rule. For numbers instead of planets, 2048 X2 Merge Blocks and Falling Blocks 2048 merge values in columns, and the 2048 page is where the doubling idea starts.

06 — FAQ

Gravity Merge FAQ

QWhat is the biggest orb in Gravity Merge?

A supernova. The game's own card says matching orbs merge “pebble to supernova”, and the full ladder of about a dozen sizes is drawn along the bottom of the screen. We did not reach the top in our session, which ended at 365 points.

QWhat is POWER START in Gravity Merge?

It is an optional, ad-supported start. The button reads “Watch an ad — begin with 2 Shockwaves + 1 Star Shot”. If you simply click the screen instead, the run begins without those tools. We did not watch the ad, so we cannot describe what either tool does.

QWhat does the Daily Challenge change in Gravity Merge?

It adds a modifier to the normal rules. On the day we played, the DAILY CHALLENGE button was labelled “Heavy Sky: Gravity +25%”, meaning a stronger pull toward the core. The name suggests the modifier rotates, but we only saw this one.

QHow do you merge orbs in Gravity Merge?

Drop an orb so that it touches another orb of the same size. The pair fuses into the next size on the ladder shown along the bottom of the screen. Move the cursor to choose the drop point on the ring, then click or tap to release.

QHow do you avoid losing in Gravity Merge?

Keep every orb inside the ring. The Gravity Merge card is explicit that an orb left outside ends the run. Build the cluster compactly around the core, merge often to free space, and check the NEXT preview so the following orb has a place to go.

QIs Gravity Merge the same as the Suika watermelon game?

No. Gravity Merge is an independent game that borrows the merge rule made famous by Suika Game, Aladdin X's fruit puzzle. Suika drops fruit into a box with a floor; Gravity Merge drops orbs from a circular ring toward a central core, so pieces arrive from every direction.

QCan you play Gravity Merge on a phone?

Its instructions say “click or tap”, so touch input is part of the design. We tested Gravity Merge in a desktop browser with a mouse, not on a phone, and the game runs in a landscape 800×600 frame, so turn the phone sideways if you try it.

QWhat games are similar to Gravity Merge?

Fruit Merger uses the same drop-and-merge rule with fruit in a box. 2048 X2 Merge Blocks and Falling Blocks 2048 merge numbers in columns, 2048 Cube Run turns merging into a runner, and Merge Royal on this site applies doubling to cards.
