What is Snake Arena 2?
Snake Arena 2 is a free browser 3D snake game in which you steer a tan serpent across a checkered isometric floor, eat the small figures scattered around it and, in the words of the catalogue listing, outsmart rival snakes to become the arena's survivor.
The title screen shows the SNAKE ARENA 2 logo in green and blue letters over a pale background. A START GAME button sits beneath it, beside a badge reading START BIGGER x10 with a video icon, and a gear for settings sits in the corner. In our session the floor behind the menu was already rendered, with a rounded snake head waiting on it.
The arena in Snake Arena 2 is a grey checkerboard seen from above at an angle. Your snake is a smooth tan tube, small pink human figures stand on the floor to be eaten, and a circular minimap in the top-left corner shows green dots. A lighter strip marks the wall at the edge. Moving the pointer turned the snake, and when we steered towards the edge the run ended within seconds on a GAME OVER screen with a CONTINUE button.
Snake Arena 2 has been in the GamePix catalogue since January 2025 and plays in a landscape 800×600 frame. It is the heaviest snake game on this site. In our test it froze while several other games were open in the same browser, and ran smoothly once it had the machine to itself, so close other demanding tabs before you start.

Controls
Snake Arena 2 is steered with the pointer. In our desktop session, moving the mouse turned the snake towards it. The START GAME button and the gear on the title screen are clicked as normal, and CONTINUE does the same job after a run. The game is laid out for a landscape screen. We did not test it on a phone, and its 3D floor is demanding enough that a slower device may struggle.
Objective
Grow and survive. The catalogue listing describes devouring humans to grow larger and outsmarting rival snakes to reign as the ultimate survivor. What we saw supports the first half: small pink figures stand around the arena, ready to be eaten. Our run ended quickly after we steered towards the lighter strip at the edge, and we could not tell whether the wall or something else ended it, so keep clear of the boundary until you know.
Game modes & features
We found one way to play, through START GAME, plus the START BIGGER x10 option marked as a rewarded video. The arena is a 3D checkerboard viewed at an angle, with a circular minimap in the top-left corner and a lighter wall around the edge. The GAME OVER screen offers CONTINUE. A gear on the title screen holds the settings, which we did not open. That is the whole of Snake Arena 2 as far as our session went.

Play Snake Arena 2 for the 3D view. Most snake games on this site are flat, whether a pixel board or a top-down arena, and seeing a rounded snake slide across a checkered floor at an angle makes the familiar idea feel new. Give it the whole browser
Close other games and video tabs before you start. In our test that was the difference between a frozen page and smooth play.
Stay away from the edge
The lighter strip around the floor is the wall. Our run ended within seconds of steering towards it, so keep to the middle at first.
Move the mouse in arcs
Wide, smooth arcs are easier to read in the angled 3D view than short, sharp flicks of the pointer.
Head for the nearest figure
The pink figures are what you eat in Snake Arena 2. Pick off the closest one each time rather than chasing one across the arena.
Read the minimap first
The green dots on the minimap show more of the arena than the camera does. Check it before committing to a long run in one direction.
Turn before the camera does
The Snake Arena 2 camera follows the snake, so obstacles appear late. Start each turn early, as soon as something enters the frame.
Keep the body in open space
As the snake grows, its tail sweeps a wider area. Circle in open ground rather than squeezing past the wall.
Decide on START BIGGER early
The x10 option is a rewarded video. If you want it, choose it on the title screen; there is no point regretting it mid-run.
What makes Snake Arena 2 special
Snake Arena 2 is the only 3D snake game in our collection, and the angle changes how the game feels. Instead of a flat board, you look down on a checkered floor with a rounded snake moving across it, and the small figures you eat stand up from the ground like pieces on a table.
It is also the most demanding game here. On our test machine it needed the browser to itself, so it suits a desktop or laptop with other tabs closed. When Snake Arena 2 runs, the minimap and the edge wall give the arena a clear shape, and the GAME OVER screen gets you back to the start quickly.
For the same arena idea in 2D, Gusano.io, Worms Zone and Worm Hunt are lighter on the machine and quicker to load. Snake 2048.io adds numbered cubes to the chain, and Snake Simple Retro Game strips everything back to the original one-screen snake.
